3 Budget-Friendly Rehearsal Dinner Tips

A pre-wedding event as important as a rehearsal dinner is the perfect time to welcome your loved ones, have both families come together and spend quality time with one another before the big day. Because anything related to weddings will cost a pretty penny (especially the wedding day itself), here are three budget-friendly tips to hosting a rehearsal dinner.

A rehearsal dinner is generally considered a more informal event compared to its wedding day counterpart, so consider saving the paper and dollars with a virtual invitation or even a phone call.

Invite immediate loved ones—parents, siblings, grandparents—and anyone who is participating in the wedding ceremony—wedding party, ushers, readers, etc.—to the rehearsal dinner. It doesn’t have to be complicated, so keep the guest list to your closest people.

The wedding day is the main event, so start and end the rehearsal dinner at reasonable hours. Keep it at two hours to reduce the opportunity to overindulge and have the chance to get a good night’s sleep. Plus, a shorter event will cost less money in the venue rental, food and beverage, so it’s a win-win.
