Happy New Year’s Eve! Let’s look at what wedding trends are in for 2025 as we approach the New Year.
Reduced Guest Count
Smaller events soared during the pandemic and its aftermath, but then bigger events made an appearance in 2023 and 2024. With rising costs and couples’ shifts in priorities, the guest count has decreased again. Couples prefer to create a more personalized and intimate atmosphere going into 2025.

Live Music
Whether it’s for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception or all three, there is a rise in couples hiring live musicians for their special day.

Lush Décor
Florals aren’t going anywhere, but there is an increased interest in couples including succulents, tropical plants and greens into their centerpieces and overall decor to create a lush environment.

Additional Entertainment
Couples are hiring specialty vendors for their reception to entertain guests. Whether it’s a magician, temporary tattoo artist or something else, couples want their guests to have a fun and unique time at their wedding.

Tradition-Free Events
Whether they’re skipping the cake cutting, formal photos, bouquet toss, formal entrances—the list goes on and on—couples are forgoing traditions for authentic experiences. They are focusing on what they want to do instead of what they “should” do and prefer connections over customs.
